3.1 Definitions

Returns acceleration due to gravity (9.81 m/s²) in accordance with 3.1 CSA S16-14 (2009).

Returns modulus of elasticity of concrete [MPa] in accordance with 3.1 CSA S16-14 (2009).

Parameters:

  • fc - compressive strength (20 .. 40) [MPa];
  • yc - density of concrete (1500 .. 2500) [kg/m3];

Returns modulus of elasticity of steel [MPa] in accordance with 3.2 CSA S16-14 (2009).

Returns maximum slenderness ratio of a member in tension in accordance with 10.4.2.2 CSA S16-14 (2009).

12.3 Net area

12.3.1 General

Returns net area of a member in accordance with 12.3.1 CSA S16-14 (2009).

Parameters:

  • wn - net width (i.e., gross width less design allowance for holes within the width);
  • t - thickness (thickness of flange);
  • s - centre-to-centre longitudinal spacing (pitch) of any two successive fastener holes;
  • g - transverse spacing between fastener gauge lines (gauge distance);

  • DllName — library name. If DLL included in installation pack, then DllName is 'dystlab.multicode.dll'.
